Breitling love

whats going on?there is a forum here for lovers of panerais and omegas(a brand which i adore!) but there seems to be very little love for breitlings.whats the problem folks?why no love from the rolex fraternity? i own a titanium chrono avenger and a chrono super ocean and hope in the next month to be able to be able to add to this modest collection.i think they are a nice contrasrt to my rollies.am i alone with my admiration for the brand?

You are not alone. Recently there was a poll here regarding what other brands people owned and Breitling was either third or a close fourth. I love my CSO.

I like this watch so much I think I'm going to buy it for a Xmas gift and give it to my brother (I feel guilty buying it for myself since I have a SS Daytona).

Love my Breitling Skyland Blacksteel...wish I could keep her...but the wife made me sell the Sub for the DSSD and now the BS is on the block since it gets no wrist time these days. I'll get another one someday...I'm sure of that.

But I do agree with you as I thought the same thing. Pan & Omega additions to the forum, but no love for the Breitlings. Why? I guess they will have to stay "Non-Rolex" discussion topics for the time being. Cheers.

I love the black Breitling and the dog seems to like it as well. Is that the DLC on the watch?

It sure is a nice looking watch. You've got a keeper there.

I really love the Breitling watches! The Emergency must be a unique watch in the industry as I have never read of any other watch that has its features.

The others are simply great in no uncertain terms and very highly esteemed in my book.

Superb and I will be adding one to my collection in the future.

Yep...the BS's are DLC. So far it's held up extremely well (although I confess it has not really gone through any tough duty). I kind of wish I would have cleaned it up a bit before the pics...any minor discoloration picked up in the pictures is from finger smudges. You can't see them in person, but the micro pictures pick everything up. If you wipe it down you get completely dull uniform black color...looks really sharp.

I wish it were a keeper...but alas, she's up for sale. I'm probably going to keep it posted on here & watchuseek until after the new year...if nobody wants to take it off my hands by then, it's off to the Bay where I'm sure someone will get a great deal on a sweet watch.

Cheers.

I have had a Breitling B-1, with a blue face, for over 3 years and I love it. I always receive positive comments. I do have an issue though. My wife thought she would be nice and replace the battery for me after 2 plus years of wear (at a local watch shop) and now the hands don't match the digital time. I have heard that goofing with the guts will void the warranty and Breitling won't touch it. Any suggestions?
(the pic is not my watch, but the same nontheless)

So what...are you expecting to live forever? I like Rolex more (obviously), but I think B. have a number of models that not only look good today, but will look just as good 20 years from now. After that...I really don't care how a watch looks in comparison to the times...it's probably time for a new one anyways! Cheers.

Those are some beautiful Breitlings folks. Breitling is my second favorite brand after Rolex. Thanks for showing these.

My only real complaint with Breitling is their obsession with high gloss polish on 95% of their watches. There have been a number of models I would easily have purchased if they were brushed SS...but alas, I had to pass as they were just too bling for my tastes. I don't know why it is, but to me, the high polish stuff almost makes the watch look cheap IMO (which I realize is kind of odd since I think they polish the material in hopes of making it seem more upscale).

Then again, to each his/her own I guess...I do know I've read many responses on Breitling forums where the happy owners rave about the high polish cases/bracelets. Cheers.
