decent $400-700 watch for the Lady ?
I have about 2 weeks to buy my girl a watch for her graduation present. I cant afford anything like a Rolex and shes not into the nice vintage swiss watches. My price range is 400-700 and used is OK but not too old
So that leaves me with looking at stuff like Tag's . Some look nice but I want to check here before I pull the trigger on one Any advice ? thx |

Seiko and Citizen have some nice watches in that price range. Also, Invicta (swiss movement only) with a diamond bezel can be had in that price range. There is usually a good slection of watches in that price range at Sam's Club or Costco.
And then there is always 5 crisp 100 dollar bills that are nice at graduation. :-)

thanks ^^^
I thought about giving her a cash gift too ... she's stuck on a watch so thats what I gotta do Seiko/Citizen are good but she wants more of a "cool" brand name. Looking at Gucci stuff but the quality looks average . Almost like a china made watch |

Maybe *maybe* a few Movado's fall into that price range, but I think they start higher.
I got my wife an Eco Drive last year and she really likes it.

Baume et Mercier. Most jewelers heavily discount and they make some very nice looking watches

Glycine and Oris are two I've given my wife. Many styles available; usual ETA 2824 (w/Glycine, anyhow). Happy hunting!

My wife loves her movado. She got it for 500 at winners and it retailed for 1500. It is a simple watch. Old stock and sent off to winners a discount store here in Canada. I had the watch checked out at a movado AD it is the real deal not a knock off.

You could try Maurice Lacroix - my wife has had one for years and it has held up very well. Frederique Constant are nice too, but I am not sure if they do ladies' watches.
Good luck and congratulations to the lady. |

If she isn't a WIS like yourself, I'd get her a nice omega quartz used. If you aren't a WIS (aka your girl), you don't care about movements and will most likely get annoyed by having to set your watch. Find a great deal on a used Omega.

No offense, bit it looks like she's the type you are not going to afford and lose her someday as soon as the next guy who comes along that looks better off on the income pole. |
