Lemania 1873

Now that the moon watch has moved on to co-axial caliber 3861, do you think we will see ETA share/sell the Lemania 1873 (Omega 1861) with other Swatch brands or third parties?

The movement used to show up in all kinds of different brands, for Example Breitling and Tag Heuer, so I am curious if this could happen again.

It might be cool to see chronographs from Longines or even Sinn using the movement.

Why not a Sellita clone, since they are cloning everything else ETA?

(and just because a chronograph related picture with my Speedmaster, before I attached the deployant clasp)

My two cents...I don’t think so. Would lessen the value of the legendary 1861 if they did that. It’s not as if omega needs the money.

They can always save them for the multitude of LE Moonwatches years from now

Like your speedy on the leather. That’s how I’m wearing mine as I type this.

Thanks! Agreed, it's how I am still wearing mine. I ordered the strap and deployant from Swatch Group, the bracelet is still wrapped in plastic until I decide to get out the Bergeon screw drivers and size it.

If people are still into watches decades from now, I can already on imagine the dot next to 90 1861 anniversary re-editions.

On the Lemania 1861, they (Lemania) even has crono movements in Pateks. ETA includes Valjoux, but Lemania was Lemania. Breguet bought Lemania a while back so now Lemania is Manufacture Breguet. So maybe someone can chime in on the availabilty for future 1861 movements?

Just my humble opinion: I sincerely doubt it.
