Since on a hunt of Speedy already, I will gladly pay for it if I have the funds.

Here are my two cents take them for what they are worth. Whether or not this piece is for you depends on a few different factors. Age, financial stage, and where you are in your watch collecting journey. Take me for instance, I'm a 37 year old business owner with four swiss watches in my collection currently. None of my watches cost over 6000 usd and none are special editions however, they all fill a niche and I wear all of them regularly. Looking forward to the next ten years of watch collecting I will be better suited to make my selections slower and more carefully, going after the harder to get pieces that satisfy the missing parts of my collection. Since I do not currently own a speedmaster, the 321 checks all those boxes perfectly. Last Saturday I stopped by my AD and dropped off a watch for service and had a quite enjoyable conversation about a few new pieces, rolex, and speedmasters. He informed me that he put my name on this list for this watch as soon as it came out and was excited that I had finally shown interest in the speedmaster. With where I am at in watch collecting I need to go after the heavy hitters from here on out. I've only got one life, these things take years to acquire so as I approach my 40's I have to be more selective about what I buy and choose to own and would happily take an Omega speedmaster 321 home in an instant, even if I did have to push owning a daytona back a few years. Now would I pay full price up front? That all depends on whether or not I trust my AD. Which I do. So I would choose A.

What does the A and R stand for on the back of the movement? Power reserve I know but what do they stand for?

Clearly Wokeism hasn't made it to watchmaking yet.

Bump to this thread. Curious for those that have had the 321 for a while now what your longer term impressions are now.
Ignoring secondary market values (don't seem very strong anyways), how are you enjoying it compared to the regular speedy sapphire? Thanks! |

As someone who is very late to the Speedy game, I think the watch is gorgeous and I’m finally on a list at our boutique. I’ve been told it’ll be “years”, but I’m patient

Nice to see this thread remains alive and well.
Since my last post, I've been busy (spending money). For the first time in my 20-years of WIS, I feel sated. |

Secondary market doesn’t mean much to me, but they are still nicely above retail and will likely stay above given the limited numbers about (don’t know what you consider strong however). |

Still can’t just pick them up. If I could get one at MSRP, I would in a second. I’m just not one to support the current grey market feeding frenzy…

I personally find the OB’s better than Rolex AD’s when it comes to getting the watches to genuine enthusiasts. If they know how invested you are in the hobby it may come a little quicker than you think! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great watch that somehow gets lost in the Snoopy hype. That’s ok with me. This is the RO Jumbo 15202ST of Omega.

@trog, wow, that's an amazing comparison photoshot. Thank you. How do you feel about the place of the steel 321 next to the platinum? Which do you wear more?
@illiguy, I completely agree (and indirectly I think this is where Rolex got Daytona distribution right because when I walked in and saw literally 6 speed masters of the same reference for sale, it was a bit of a turnoff, and I'm sure drags down the excitement of this piece). For me, I think the real challenge is is the premium here worth the extra 10k over an existing speed master in the collection when the 321 will be vying for wrist time against RO's and Daytonas. |
