Anyone seen a SBGM245 or SBGM247 yet?

I've been a lurker for a while and ready to pull the trigger on a Snowflake very soon. It's been at the top of my 'next watch' list for a while. The list is ever-growing behind it, of course. A close second has been the SBGE257 but the look of this new green GMT SBGM247 is catching my eye!

I don't think they're in stores just yet but I could be mistaken. Has anyone seen or worn the SBGM245 or 247 yet? Would love to see some non-press pics!

For those who are interested, I was able to see this watch in person over the weekend at WatchTime New York. It's unbelievably gorgeous. I put a quick video on YouTube. I'm not able to post links yet but if you search "Grand Seiko SBGM247" it will come up.

Seriously considering pre-ordering after getting hands-on with this watch.

Had a look at them yesterday.

The green is not my thing, so unfortunately didn't take a photo of it.

The blue is a very dark blue, the midnight blue name fits it quite well. It tends to go a bit dark purple-ish in some light, which I'm personally not a big fan of, but apart from that, it's an amazing watch. The shade of blue is the same as the SBGJ237 and the end link to end link seemed to be quite similar between the two watches.

I had a look at the SBGM247 a week or so back. Very cool dial - it’s right in my personal wheelhouse.

Same basics bracelet setup as the SBGE257 (ie long clasp with holes for microadjustment, tool necessary), except the bracelet on SBGM247 is brushed, save for the sides of the links.

I was glad to compare it with the SBGE257, which I have and enjoy wearing. Very different shades of green. The thickness is 14.3 on the SBGM247, .4mm less than the SBGE257 - not a giant difference, but I appreciate it, but the 247 weighs 8g more than the 257 fully linked (180g for 247, 172g for 257).

I tried the green and blue on, could’nt decide if the green dial was a bit hard to read in some light… i really do like the tone of green, the really dark blue is nice too…

I have tried them both several times including yesterday. I’ve tried to like them enough to purchase but I just can’t warm up to either. They wear small and that would suit me though. Seems like I first saw them a year ago, or close to it.

Husband has the sbgj237. He’s ok with it. That one wears large.

Good looking watches. So many choices in my AD's case that I have a hard time deciding.

Have 3 GS AD’s near me, all 3 locations are full of watches. Last weekend the one location let me see how many were in storage, it was surprising how many.
