Seiko 6309-7290 Information please.

Hello,
I purchased a collection of Seiko divers watches while on vacation last week. In it was this watch with a violet dial.
Can anyone tell me how old this is?

I am not interested in keeping it, but would like to know so I can find it a home for a Seiko collector who would appreciate it.
