Icon20 Where Are the Black Friday deal?

Have you noticed many of the established grey dealers and trusted TRF sellers do not have any advertised Black Friday sales on timepieces new or preowned? I’ve not seen that before. I suspect it’s because business is so darn great they don’t have to discount. They just keep raising their prices. Wonder if it will ever adjust. Thoughts?

Watchfinder prices are so far above the avg market value that their “sale” is just smoke and mirrors.

Why discount when people are beating your door down? However, a few more equity market days like today and people will be holding back.

I’ve noticed a couple of sites have “Sales” this weekend. But the price reduction is what you can expect to get if you’re actually nice and engaging on any normal day. So, certainly nothing special going on.

Why would they discount anything? The reality is they don’t have to…

The questions about “when will this stop or adjust” is probably what needs to stop. The answer is actually quite evident. A full-blown economic reset will stop it, just like it stops everything else like art, luxury cars, housing, equity markets, etc.

Until then, expect prices to head higher. There’s far too much interest and investment in the wristwatch market at this time for there to be any other plausible outcome.

I had been tracking a particular (Omega) model on the usual grays over a few months. Any „event discount“ basically meant that they put a few big percentage signs over their sites, but the prices staid the same. Bought it at the AD for like 200 bucks more in the end, for what it’s worth.

If anyone is active duty military or veteran the AAFES (shopmyexchange . com) is having a sale on Omegas...really good deals can be had.
(And they are an AD so they come with full warranties)

eBay has up to $500 off, DavidSW launched his sale yesterday, and Chrono24 just sent me an email w/sales.
