On the hunt for YM 40 Everose on Oysterflex

Hi All, I’m from the NYC area and looking to buy my second Rolex. I have owned a submariner for the last 6 years. My goal is to find a Yachtmaster 40 in everose gold. My AD is trying to source one for me, but as many of you know, cannot tell me when the next one will come in. I’ve also been told PM pieces are far more uncommon than SS models, despite demand also being lower.

Can anyone give me some idea on how often an AD will see this model? Also, do larger AD’s receive more watches from Rolex?

I’m very excited and hope to get the call soon!

Welcome to the forum!

You're most likely looking at 10-12 months after the watch has been ordered. Oysterflex models aren't released in large numbers. Depending on the size of your AD, they might only recieve one YM40 in RG for the entire year.

If your AD is able to order one for you then prepare for a long wait and be patient. Put it out of your mind until you get the call.

Its a beautiful watch, I picked one up for my wife for our 20th anniversary 3 years ago. We got it before the boom and picked it up below msrp. Depending on your relationship with the dealer, it could take up to a year.

Impossible to say. Speculation.

Could be years.

Just depends on who you are unfortunately, especially in NY where thousands of people with money want the same watch.
