Speedmaster racing incoming!

Got this today in trade for a Grand Seiko. I was a little wary of the trade at first as I tried a dark side of the moon on a few months back and it felt massive. This feels much more balanced. looks great too I think :) Bigger than my regular speedmaster but not too big

Thanks all. If anyone has been put off by the coaxial in the past due to size I would suggest trying one with the newer 9900 movement. The dark Side of the moon felt too big for me but this fits much better. I believe the case back is different so that watch comes in a little thinner?

Where is the brown racing strap from? It looks like a B&R bands one but the colour seems different.

Thread bumping today …

It appears to wear as thin on the rust as your moon watch … can you elaborate how it wears in comparison? It must feel a good bit heavier?

I no longer have it but from memory your observations are correct. It doesn't wear thick but does have a bit more heft to it from the slightly larger size.

As an aside I have tried to love the DSOTM but that feels much thicker so I have never pulled the trigger, and the racing certainly wears thinner.

Thank you

Any reason you moved it on? Did you prefer the moon watch overall?

Exactly. I like variety and the regular moonwatch felt more versatile to me. If I remember I moved it on for a Blancpain chrono, which has now also gone! :)

Well I'm going to head to our AD and have a look see for myself. Been jonesing for a speedy 321 amd on the list. I figured a moon watch might be a good addition anyway and then this model came on my radar ...

Thanks for your thoughts

Huge congrats - love the SR and it wears nowhere near as large as the dimensions would suggests. Feels nowhere near as thick as the specs would indicate.
