Have not had a great beer in a long while, have only been drinking Scotch the past few months.

Need to get a few bottles of beer now

All the real great beer I drank was while I was stationed in Germany during my first tour. More specifically near Wurzburg. Something about the beer there and not so much during my second tour further north. The saying while stationed in Germany was if you didn't like the beer from the brewery in your town just go to the next town. Anyway, for some reason I just found the beer near Wurzburg more to my taste.

Prost!!!!

Any one try Sweetwater Brews? We do not have them here in Canada but heard they just partnered up/bought out by a canabis producer Aphria. Apparently this Sweetwater brand of beer is very good and yummy.

I really enjoy stouts and porters. Been going through a slew of different micro-brews lately but always keep coming back to Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. It never fails.

We enjoy Troegs’ Troegenator. It is a double bock from Pennsylvania.

Sam smiths is definitely a classic. It’s definitely stout season

Enjoying some good ones tonight after taking a drive to Brooklyn to go to Other Half Brewery. Got a mixed case of some IPA’s. One better than the next lol.

Suarez is in my opinion the best brewery in New York State. It’s not for DIPAs or Fruit beer or Stouts though. Lager, Pilsner, farmhouse and Pales. If you live in NY they are shipping by the case for the time being.

Have tried many craft beers over the years and 99% of the time I am disappointed...many seem so hoppy I'm reminded of grapefruit juice, but I keep trying.

Another rule I live by: If a beer has a "cute" name or more than three words in the title, the worse it is...e.g "Funky budah margarita goose" Really? I couldn't see myself looking at a drink menu and trying this...

Guinness
Sapporo
Stella Artois

Done!

Ok. Was in Brooklyn a couple weeks ago and picked up a 4 pack of every beer Other Half had, about 3 cases. Gotta be honest. They may have lost their fastball. So far they all sort of taste the same. Not bad but but pretty pedestrian. Oddly enough it’s been the stouts that I’ve liked the most. Anybody else notice OH is slipping or is it just me?

Pliny the Elder I presume? I heard that the Younger isn't going to be available this year.

A few years ago, I attended a Pliny the Younger release party in San Francisco. Great fun.

Any Trumer Pils drinkers hereabouts? It's one of the best well-hopped pilsners in the US. Made in Berkeley by way of Austria. Sadly, not available here in New Mexico.

Great beer 2.0

Not sure why the first thread was closed. Mods, delete/lock this if necessary.

Otherwise, let’s keep posting some of your favorite beers.

Got lucky to snag a few bottles of this.

It’s a great beer. Triple IPA and 10.25% but you’d never know it by how smooth it is.

I was literally on my computer 30 minutes before. 11 o'clock hit, added it to cart, got in the queue to check out, and was told it is sold out.
