AP Los Angeles Event

AP hosted an event here in LA over the weekend, I had the pleasure to meet a few of you from here on TRF (Jin if you can post the group wrist photo) and thought I would share a few photos/thoughts. Wanted to send a big thank you to Katheen, Errol and Greg for the invitation (Sokolowski you too buddy). The team did an incredible job and little touches that really made for an incredible event.

We had dinner where they had most of the new 2021 collection and were able to try on. Followed by an early morning session on the Wim Hof method and an ice cold plunge to work on breathing, quite the hangover cure after a night of tequila. Hats off AP to a wonderful event with even better people and promoting a great brand. Few things I took away.

I will let the others post a few photos too, apologies for the bad iphone pics. Always great to try on a bunch of different pieces, especially with other clients.

1. The 43MM in person are INCREDIBLE. Wow, this fit very well on my smaller wrists and IMO is much more wearable than the older 44mm. For me, I liked the blue 43mm most and thought the taupe was interesting, different than what I had expected.

2. New divers look great. The quick strap change takes literally 2 seconds, very easy to use.

3. AP staff is amazing, everyone was friendly and had great conversations about where the brand is going, inventory etc

4. FINALLY got to see the 15202BC in person that another client was wearing. Absolutely blew me away. I've posted here before about trying to find the actual dial shade and was back/forth on it. It definitely isn't salmon but not as muted as I had anticipated and really was magnificent in the flesh. Moved all the way to the top of my next watch list. Weight in WG was great too.

5. Unique goodies including a branded AP Robe with our initials and green towel for after the plunge. All back to my earlier point about little touches that really made for a great personalized event.


6. The CODE is growing on me, especially the ones that are more than one metal on the case, looked great in person, one next to my RM below.

7. The new addition 42mm ROO looked great too. REALLY liked the GULF blue and the strap material they used, I think looks better in person than photos.

This is awesome. My buddy Cole Walliser attended the event along with Brandon Heller. AP knows how to take care.

do you suspect all folks who attended has purchase history of 500k-1M+ for the life of their account with AP?

Indeed was a great time. Nice to see some familiar faces and meet you too Bryan - I told Eric I instantly hated you because you were better dressed, better looking, and more articulate than me :) I kid I kid. Loved all the offshores - my favs were the Taupe/Steel 43mm, the Golf/baby blue 42mm, and I wore the rose gold with ceramic black for the ice bath dunking event. Well in my experience if you get invited to such events you should have no trouble getting a 15202... not necessarily next day of course but will come reasonably soon after request.

Funny such a small world, I actually sat next to Cole and spent a lot of time with Brandon. Both great guys.

There were people there above and below that purchase history. Was a great mix of people.

Haha technically AP owns 5% of RM and the individual who invited me is the distributor for RM and AP on the west coast and sold me my RM030. Did wear my 26480ti for the morning event.
