3861 bracelet on an 1861 case

Are there any 1861 owners out there who have put an official 3861 bracelet on it? Or an Uncle Seiko-made 3861?

Curious to know how it feels on the wrist, does it sit comfortably on the wrist or is it top-heavy? The 1861 case is bulkier than the 3861.

I believe a few others here have done it - not sure what the fit is like for the end links though.

I have attached an Apollo 11 50th anniversary bracelet to my 1861 with the help of Uncle Seiko hollow end links. The OEM end links could be made to fit, but with a shelf from the lugs to the bracelet. So for a couple extra bucks the US ones work very well.

I had one put on at Omega boutique last weekend. A perfect fit by my eye and far more cost-effective than buying a new 3861.

Tricolore- Did you order it in advance or is this something that the boutiques stock? My AD told me he couldn't order one so that would be great.

Did you find out if they are interchangeable? I personally have been thinking about it in reverse. I’ll likely try to find a new or super mint 1861 in January. If that doesn’t work I may consider a 3861 perhaps - but would want the 1861 bracelet. I compared them side by side and find the 3861 bracelet hideous and it feels cheap and weird in comparison. Too light, rough, too much play, doesn’t look good. To each their own but I would make sure to look at it in person and compare.

I was shocked that they actually had one in stock. Be aware that the hesalite 3861 comes with an all-brush bracelet and the sapphire sandwich bracelet has polished thin links between the center and outer links, if that matters. Mine is polished and adds just a subtle sense of bling. I didn’t realize it at the time but I’m glad I got the bracelet I did.

For a cheaper option, here's my 1863 (display back version of 1861) on an Uncle Seiko US1450 President bracelet. I didn't like the way the stock bracelet flares out at the lugs and this doesn't do that. And there's no polished links which I like because I use this watch mostly in casual / dressed-down settings. It is a little lighter than the Omega stock bracelet, which makes the watch a little top heavy, but not uncomfortable at all.

Great photos! I agree the US 1450 is fantastic. I have one and love it on my 1861. I swapped out the clasp for one with an Omega symbol. I got it on eBay from a Canadian seller.

I really like the bracelet from the recent past (but not new iterations). The speedy case is curved and rounded and the flat link bracelet jarring, simply looks not integrated at all to my eye. When I had my speedy, I had no problem getting a great fit and it has more rounded aspects to it, making it more integrated. This new bracelet also has a very stark taper to the point it makes it stand out. I never found a tapered bracelet to be noticeably different feeling wise.
