What has happened to GQ.

I opened a Macy's credit card to get a discount on my once a year Macy's shopping trip. I but Polo undershirts and jeans. They apparently sell my address to GQ and I start getting them in the mail. I haven't read GQ in decades.

When did it become little more than men in women's clothes? I understand fashion and know it is often art more than merchandise but WTF?

It all depends on your modern definition of 'Gentlemen'.

Nothing new. I remember the new age/ new romantic movement when I was a child; men dressing in an effeminate way and wearing makeup. Didn’t bother me then. I grew up straight and as masculine as the next straight man. These magazines have to make money from brands and advertising so they sell their souls.

Magazines are dying.

Now they'll do anything to be provocative. Most fashion in them is basically unwearable by anyone.

This is exactly what they want. Throw a little outrage out there to stir up the masses.

You'd have to be Ric Flair to pull off that first one.

As long as it’s exclusive (not off the rack) expensive (money) and only for wealthy people like us (Rolex investors, more wealthy), I’m OK with it.

Besides, we’re pretty much experts with fancy bags, accessories, shoes, mattresses, bed linens, colognes, kitchen ware, and matching jewelry too. Mens dresses are the next step.

You left out fancy pants worn over fancy fur that’s been fluffed out and styled to a fancy sheen…

If you haven’t noticed nearly all of what used be non-partisan magazines and media have become unbearable garbage pushing agendas like this. It isn’t just the major networks.

The crap I see in my apple news feed from “business insider” and “vogue” blow my mind. Pure trash with no reference to business or fashion or whatever. Also no matter how many thumbs downs I give apple keeps trying to push this shit on me. So I guess I am an angry white man now… but only via their efforts to manipulate us all.

GQ went woke a long time ago.

This is just next-level.

They're done.

If I'm curious about a coffee machine, cologne, or any random high-end brand, this is actually the first place I look for opinions.

Most of us are out of their demographics. GQ started going after the younger set to compete with FHM & Maxim. 20-35 year old guys with money.
