Challenge of picking a vacation watch.....

There really should not be much thought on what watch to take on vacation, but I can't decide if I want to take my DJII or DSSD to Disney World next week.

I have taken the DSSD the last 2 years. Two years ago I only had the DSSD, so no thought, last year I had the DJII but left it home. I am leaning towards the DSSD simply for the glidelock since it will be around 87 degrees and I can adjust if needed.

Decisions decisions....

I vote for the lighter watch if you're going to be in that heat. ;-) You know rationally right that both would be fine. LOL I still think something lighter would be more comfortable.

I assume the DJII has been a good watch and deserves a vacation to Disney too. The DSSD has experienced the magic kingdom twice, and should understand that you can't take them both every year.

I like the thought process!

I always bring my 214270 on vaca. No need to bother with the date on vaca. Also the easyclasp or whatever it's called is convenient.

Well if you lean on dssd, that what you should wear. You dont want to keep on thinking about your dssd and how you shoud have worn it instead during your holiday do you?

I have considered taking both of them, but don't want to have one stolen, although they are insured.

The potential of dings on the DJII is something that can happen easier in DW over at home.

At least I have until Tuesday morning to decide

Since your only choices are between the DSSD and the DJ-II, I would go with the DJ-II. I think it's more versatile than the DSSD (the DJ-II dresses up or down easily; whereas I don't think the DSSD dresses up as well). But that's just MHO.

Leave them both home. That way, part of the vacation can be a new acquisition as a commemoration of the holiday.

I agree with this, and besides the DJ2 has an extension if needed.
Have fun in Disney

Don't worry about dinging your DJ 2. Based on my own experiences at Disney, I have found that I am more likely to collect a ding or two desk diving in the office than spending a few days at DW.

I wore my Breitling on rubber when I went to Disney. It saved me a few bumps to a bracelet getting in and out of rides while helping my daughters.

Out of your two, Id go with the DSSD. Good news is you can't make a bad choice. Good luck

For comfort DJ2 and if you are going casual or dressy for other outings it's the perfect watch! She deserves a try so next time you know which you prefer.

Just grab and go. Either one is fine.
