Rolex repair in Portland, Or

I have a vintage 70's GMT Master (Pepsi bezel) that needs to have an overhaul and also have the crown stem replaced. I live in Portland, OR. Any recommendations for a good repair shop here? Would prefer to keep it local.

Welcome DrBrado
I'm a transplanted Portlander myself, I just went through the same thing a few months ago, looking for a shop to repair my vintage submariner. I asked many questions from the knowledgeable members on this forum. What I learned is while there are many places that service Rolex's, there's only a few that you would want to trust your vintage Rolex to. I used ABC Watchwerks in Los Angeles Ca., they do amazing work, and make you feel assured your watch is in good hands. Other's you can check out are, Bob Ridley now with his son Phillip, Watchmakers International, Arlington Texas, Rik Dietel, Time Care Inc. Seminole Florida, Venessa, at Jewelers on Time, Newport Beach Ca.. I do not believe you could go wrong with any of them, as they all are all masters of their craft.

I believe there is a post with a list on this forum that was the members recommended repair shops around the world, I do not recall it having a location in Portland though, there may be some in Seattle. Maybe someone with more information then I can chime in.

Well good luck with your watch, and most important post a lot of photos of the process.

P.S. found the list : http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...ir+list&page=4
Any place you consider do a web search, some I looked into were great at replacing batteries, but had very bad reviews on vintage repair's, and replacing the vintage parts with new.

Robert

Nesbit's Fine Watch Repair in Seattle is a decent choice.

Ben Bridge also runs a Rolex Service Center in the Seattle area so you could take it to any Ben Bridge in the Portland area and they would likely send it there..

I have used both Alex's Watchworks at 10th and Morrison downtown, and Crown Jewelers out in Clackamas.

Both good.

Benjamim and Son's in Olympia, WA have serviced several of my vintage Rolex's, are very good, and easy to work with.
