Rolex 6098 Pre-Explorer?
Can anyone tell me more about this Rolex 6098? Is it really a Pre- Explorer? I think the crown is original. The bracelet is non Rolex junk. The numbers are there, but near impossible to photograph. It has a very interesting military gilt dial which appears original.
Would appreciate any information on this watch. Thanks, David |

Looks like a nice old 6098 Ovettone. They are the two piece predecessor of the three piece 6298. They are know as Pre-Explorers as the watches used on the Everest expedition were 6098. The 6298 were sometimes badged Explorer.
Are you buying or selling it?
