I probably would but it would depend on the condition of the 5513.

I definitely would, but do your research on the 5513 ! The 5513's have a charm that the LV will never capture.

I wouldn't, I think the Kermit will become highly collectible. More so than the Hulk. Just my opinion.

For a perfect 5513 no doubt but you would have to add some coins for that to happen. I can guarantee that a perfect 5513 will appreciate way better than the LV. If condition isn't good it is a completely different story.
Charm wise the vintage watch wins by a land slide in my personal opinion. |

Need to tell us condition and which mk 16610lv we're talking vs details on the 5513. Hard trade IMO...value wise debatable which has more room to appreciate...it's really a matter of vintage versus modern if the deal is fair.

Any chance you could acquire the 5513 without trading the Kermit? I was deciding between the two and ultimately landed on the 5513 and love it. Picked up a maxi MK3 from Michael Morgan and couldn't be happier. That said, I really enjoy the Kermit and maybe one day I'll acquire one. Agree with other posts about condition of you go with the 5513 but you would likely have to add some money to the trade.

As others said , I think 5513 ( great condition) will appreciate more than lv, except lv y serie full set

Exchange my 16610LV for 1967 5133
This
VS this (I would assume it's meter first) That's a though one. If it's the y series flat 4 then I would lean towards the LV. It's harder to come by. I blame it on the autoconnect. |

I love an old sub but if you could keep that lv I think it'll be of significantly more value than the more common black 5513.
Why not buy a black bezel insert, ghost it or buy a ghosted one and fit it to the LV? That way you'll change up the look of the watch and not have to fret about losing it. |

Personally I wouldn't exchange the Lv for 5513, as Lv prices are just rocketing currently & won't be slowing down anytime soon. But if the 5513 is a grail watch for you ,then it could be a great trade given 5513 condition etc.

I really doubt a quite common sapphire watch will get that collectable. No offense.. They were made in thausands.
Of course a run of the mill 5513 isn't that rare either but if in perfect condition I am sure it will appreciate way better over time. Finding top examples just get tougher and tougher and that will continue to raise prices. In the end I would still get what I like more. Investing in standard watches makes no sense. |

Probably a difference alright in terms of appreciation over time as has been mentioned, but it really comes down to why you are making the exchange in the first instance and what 'use' you are going to put it to. Although they are both Subs, they wear differently, and the 5513 would in all likelihood require more tlc than the LV in daily use?
