Winding issues with DD40

Has anyone ever that the following issue?

The watch is less than 6 months old new from an AD.

When undoing the crown, to wind the watch, it takes at least 2 or 3 complete turns of the crown before the winding mechanism engages.

Should I be concerned?

Or just wait until nearer the end of the guarantee period and then send it in?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

As long as the watch is keeping good time and it will still wind I would not be concerned. With some usage it may correct itself or not. I would wait till the end of the warranty period and send it in if it still bothers you in 4 years and 11 months.

Weird, never heard of this issue before.

Only heard of the date flip issues which are quite common and Rolex will fix under warranty - never heard of winding problems.

Goodluck with it. I personally would send it in to Rolex to look at.

Is your date flip working as expected or is it late? Maybe tackle 2 stones at once.

I popped into my AD this morning and they have email RSC for their comments.

The date flip is fine! But it is my 3rd DD40, the first 2 didn’t change until 1:30am. This latest one was tested by both RSC and my AD before they would release it to me
