New member from Melbourne Australia

Hey guys new member here based in Melbourne, I've only just gotten sucked into watches and still have a fair bit to learn. At the moment I have a Seiko SARX013 and a Damasko DA56 which I got off WUS.
Truth be told I've never even touched a luxury watch before and was wondering If you guys had any recommendations for a newbie like me to try and figure out what would fit me?
Thanks
Ben

Simples. Pack a cut lunch and prep for a day in the city. Go Collins St starting from Williams St intersection and slowly make your way westwards up the hill towards Paris end. You'll have about 6-8 posh watch dealers to wander into, culminating in the R boutique at the peak of the hill at Exhibition St end.

(Why the cut lunch? LEAVE YOUR WALLET AT HOME )

Welcome!

I recommend starting with and staying with a Sub!
The basis of many a great collection even if that collection has one watch only!

I got my first in Melbourne, a 14060M.
The place was Watch Trader and I'm not sure if they have a bricks and mortar store in the area mentioned above but they're online and Darryl was great to deal with.
I was way too scared to buy privately because of lack of knowledge and potential to get a fake etc.
Good hunting!

Depends on timing maybe, but last time I did an Collins St crawl month before most counter cases had at least 25-30 different units... definitely saw SkyD, YM, DJs and even some Sub & GMT bezels... probably most of them were PM not SS haha.

I just walk in to annoy them they just ignore me after deciding I'm not a mainland Chinese tourist which suits me fine as I'm not the outgoing type & no plans to buy anything @rrp anyway

Welcome.....I would heed Tamiya’s advice and do the Collins street crawl. Also check out used dealers like Watchtime, the watch gallery near Collins/Elizabeth st.
