And oddly enough given the topic, that's a set of 1505 khakis you're wearing if you were Air Force. :)

I have 3 Rolex vintage. Those are the only 3 watches I wear in rotation at work. Heck, they are picked in coordination with the suits I wear (5513 when I wear grey, 1675 when I wear blue and 16030 buckley for everything else) My modern pieces are collecting dust.

Where in NC are you? I'm in New Bern and have similar interests. My day job is pretty much the same as yours.

Western. In Franklin at the moment but just went under contract on a place just outside of Cashiers.

Rolex Watches were meant to be worn everyday and to take the wear and tear from that usage. I wear a 1680 Red Sub to work everyday and don’t think twice about it. Wear it in good health and with pride.

I wear my 1970 1680 red sub to work - I cycle to work - I move IT hardware around and cable up servers, offices etc... If I think I may damage the watch I take it off and put it in my locker...

Sometimes i wear my '69 seamaster 300 or my Speedmaster pro - they were all designed to be tool watches and can take a beating

Sweatband is a good idea though

For me personally, I have to switch to my G-Shock for harder work. I believe they are meant to be worn, but I can't quite let go enough to wear them while moving furniture or yard work etc..

My Godparents bought me a 1016 Explorer for my 18th birthday and I've worn it every day since (apart from when it's been aware for routine servicing and when I am doing dirty work on a family car). I'm now 64 going on 65.
It inevitably picks up knocks and scratches but I polish the crystal (pre-sapphire) with metal polish from time to time to keep it nice. Back from service it looks just like new all over!
Wear and enjoy!

Oh man, that's so cool. I was born in 1977, and seeing pics like this as a kid is what got me into these darned little devices in the first place.

I wear my 16750 (one of the earliest produced) to work nearly every day, and out and about for evening affairs, too. Though I try to be careful with it, like others I don't see the point in having it if I don't wear it. It's already got a scratch or two over the years, but I see those as battle scars...

You should enjoy your watch. With heavy work I always ware a second watch. But with normal and easy work I wear my Rolex.
