Daytona Stopwatch Seconds Hand

New to the forum; just got a new to me Daytona...wondering, where do you all like to keep your stopwatch seconds hand? Thinking of keeping it at the 6 o'clock position, not to obstruct the symbol and watch description.

I keep around the 20-25 min mark. Like you, I don't like to have it obstruct the symbol or writing.

I've tried various positions...the 6 o'clock is a good one. But, in reality, I've found that if it's moving that's the least "distracting."

12 so it doesn't interfere with viewing the second had and so it's already to run.

Didn't buy it for its intended purpose and like to see the sweeping motion. As Gomer would say....shame, shame, shame!

I generally keep it at 12, because I do like to use it. I have heard of some strategically placing it to provide a date reading or other numeric reminder.

Moving it away from your logos seems a little over the top, but with invicta cranking out copies, you’ve got to show off that coronet I guess. Where it in health either way!

Synchronized with the seconds hand so it’s always sweeping

I once heard that keep the Chrono hand else where was and for the movement as a shock could damage/wear the "brake". Rumor? Or truth?

I like the "at 12 where it was meant to be"; now, my watchmaker said that his feeling of keeping it sweeping is full time unintended use of an engine part creating ware and using oil went not necessary.

The idea of keeping the hand stopped full time in a non full-time position using the brake creating damage or wear is interesting; I would also like to know if this is truth or rumor?

I take the minute hands of my Rolex as I find it hides the Rolex crown

OK it means I only know what time it is to the nearest hour but oh hum.

Leave it at 7 seconds. It really opens the whole dial up.
