I’ve seen multiple subs in every AD I’ve been to in Florida last week. I went to 4 different AD’s and they all had them.

I see that submariner prices have increased quite a bit on these forums.

I remember when I bought my first rolex, you were able to find a decent, like new submariner for $7,000 -/+ last year.

The last few weeks, I see that prices for a used sub-c has increased to mid to high $7K range, and I've seen new ones go for $9,000 -/+ lately.

What's going on with the pricing on these forums? AD's still have them selling at $8600 (retail)

Any idea on why forums prices have increased on these submariners?
Just bought new at AD for less

Some of the prices here on the forum are just a bit ridiculous to me.

Sub? Shouldn't that mean the price gets lower? Or are we discussing the Supermariner...

It's becoming like EBay. If you spend the time searching, you can often buy cheaper at an AD than some of the secondary prices

Agree with this. There are bargains out there. Just need to spend time searching

I wonder if the Subs are actually selling at those prices. As recent as this weekend, I could get BNIB from my AD for quite a bit less than what greys are selling pre-owned pieces that are a few years old.

I listed mine at US$7,050 and it sold in a snap (sold for US$6,900). Even I think that's a bit much for pre-owned!

Good for the gray dealers. They take out all the stock and at prices as good as they could have ever imagined.

In my opinion, it is the opposite. The dealers sell a lot of sports SS but they have hundreds of Rolex watches from other models that are not sold. Besides, I suppose that they, like any merchant, need a lot of money for their commitments and the gray dealers can buy them large quantities. It is an opinion. I am not the owner of the truth.

Really? Where are you getting your information? The economy has certainly improved and it is evident in many marketplaces, not just in that of luxury items.
