It’s not calf, it’s horse and the strap is of very high quality compared to other high end straps I’ve owned.

Yes, it's cordovan strap, my mistake. I owned a white dialed version of this ref a few years back and was not a fan of quality of oem strap. For me it looks a bit plastic, hardly flexible and mine had some visible (and annoying) defects of stitching.

None of those problems here. It’s a super soft strap and the stitching is great. Issues may have been resolved since you owned one.
