Datejust 16030

A friend of mine came picked-up a 1986 16030 Datejust, circa 1986, with Jubilee bracelet the other day and was asking me about it. It is a quickset model, unpolished, with a very nice, original, Jubilee bracelet.

What I found interesting was the dial and hands. I really like the dial, and the more I looked at it, the more I liked the complete watch. It seemed to be very nice for its age.

Below are a few photos of the watch. What do you guys think?

I like it too. I think it's referred to as a "bullseye dial".

The boiler gauge! I like it.

Could almost be a tachometer dial!

Great looking dials. I almost pulled the trigger a couple years ago on a tt with a black dial and gold numbers. Very cool looking.
I have also seen them on the ladies Datejusts.

I have a 1984 16030 and love it. It is now 30 years old and only loses about a second a day. That is why we love Rolex, decades of use and still perfect. Love the dial and I say go for it. Just to let you know the 0 at the end of 16030 makes it a SS bezel.

I just stumbled on one of these - and wanted to repost...

I love finding these odds and ends watches...esp on the lower end models, kudos to Rolex.
