My new to me 16710 B Pepsi 3186 calibre
For some reason I was never into the gmt
And have mostly had submariners over the years. I had to trade down a watch in order to acquire this gmt and love The older clasp as a "vintage" type feel to my modern professional models with newer bracelets. hopefully predictions are true that the newer caliber ones are more collectible down the road! If not I liked this watch and wanted it in my collection. |

Quick question....Whats the 'B' for in the tittle...16710 B Pepsi 3186 calibre?
A fine looking specimen. Is it predicted then that the later 16710 will be more collectable? I notice it doesn't have lug holes. Congratulations! |

16710B and 16710A are the ref# given by Rolex USA to pepsi and coke (respectively). Worldwide these watches are referred as 16710blro (pepsi) and 16710 (coke). The 3rd model with black insert is 16710ln . |

Congrats on a great piece.
I have a question: I believe I am correct in saying that the very few ExpII 16570s with the 3186 movement have the engraved rehault. Is this not the case with the 16710s with 3186?

Luxurytyme.com has lengthy articles on both And do indicate explorer 2 did have engraved rehaut and 3186. It notes that exp 2 ran several more years than gmt did with the 3186 I know my 16710 does not have the engraving and is a M3xxx serial from 2008 |
