I need Little help from Rolex people.
Hello guys,
I am pretty new in this forum, I would like to hear what you guys think. I think I may have $15,000 for watch in a few month. But I haven't decide which one I should buy. I might buy "used" one so I could get two watches instead of one. ;) What I am thinking is... 1. Hulk and 116610 2. Hulk and 114060 (my wife prefers non-date) 3. Hulk and 116710 BLNR (out of budget maybe..) 4. 116710 BLNR and 116610 5. 116710 BLNR and 114060 please help me!! I can't decide. Any word is welcome!! THANK YOU!! |

Welcome!
I like option 3 or 5. Personally I would start with one watch though. Wear it. Enjoy it. Then when you get the itch again, you'll already have funds set aside for another purchase. Go try them all on and see if one jumps out from the rest. As far as AD discounts, don't count on it if you don't have an established relationship with them but it doesn't hurt to ask. You can get considerable discounts if you wanted to consider buying here from one of the trusted sellers. You still get everything you would from buying at an AD minus the "in-store" shopping. |

Go option 3. Hulk and Batman. You cant lose againts anything. Out of all your 5 choices you listed Hulk and Blnr 3 times so its very clear what you want. Get those two and you dont really need anything else. Well, of course until you start to feel the itch again

Just get the BLNR to start. Wear it for a while and see how it goes. Make sure you try them all on first.

I have both Hulk and BLNR as my only watches and think they are great together. That would be my choice out of the options you listed.

I like three, but would think about alot for that kinda money. My first choice would have been a new Daytona and call it a day
also in reach of alot of all gold watches and one of those would be awesome by itself go try some on! discounts are tough with the SS models, go with that kinda money and all gold would be a different story good luck, have fun!! |

Imho
I would buy a new blue 116613 with a good discount and save the rest or use it for something pleasant. The options you give practically speak of two nearly identical watches.

Option 3, even if it means saving a little bit longer to get there

if at all possible you should try as many watches on as possible. anyAD in the vicinity? if not, go with one watch and make it one of the classics. can.t go wrong with gmt in any of its many forms.
have fun and remember that your tastes WILL change. |

The watches you list are very similar. Try the 114060 and save the remainder for the next one. You can't go wrong with a basic Sub.

None of the above. Get a nice pre-owned YMII.

I love the look of the Hulk and the Blnr, but, would never buy them as I think they would bore me within a week of wearing.
Go to a local ad try on all of the ss,tt models and see what jumps out at you.Remember you gotta wear the watch! |

I would start Hulk first. It will either be a gimmick/ novelty that will bore you in short time, or the greatest freakin' timepiece you could ever imagine wearing. Either way, after some time, you'll have a clearer picture of which way to go from there. |

I own a Hulk, which I will never sell, and just bought a Daytona. Most Ads will NOT discount SS models, at least not much at all. You could buy from a seller on this site and get a discount on SS's, but how much I don't know. And save on state taxes if you are in America.
I prefer two watches that look different. I would buy one, like the Hulk, that has a date, and the other that does not, and looks completely different. But that is me. |

The answer is five. The Sub is just an amazing balanced and versatile watch and you will end up with one no matter what so make it early. GMTs are essential to any Rolex collector and different from the subs; having the multiple time zones/24 hour time is a real Rolex innovation and trade mark. The Hulk is a great watch and if you are a PGA winner or Dartmouth grad it will match your Jacket so unless you are I'd put it in third place.

Here's a question, do you want one "dressy" watch and one more rugged? Or are you just trying to get the two best to fit your budget?

3. But try on the TT Bluesy as well, combines a bit of both and has some gold thrown in too for a bit of extra sizzle.

Wow.. a lot of advices!! Thank you guys!! I would love to go both Hulk and Batman but... I don't think my wife would allow it... :( I know Batman is the beautiful but I am kind of obsessed to the Hulk. (I don't even know why..) Also I love the looks of Submariner with leather strap. That is just a beauty.. That is why I am considering two identical wacthes. Thank you guys again.. and please give me more advice!!
