Any help with info on this 1950s datejust?

So here's what I think I know...
Reference: 6305
Model: datejust
Dial: Gilt
Material: pink gold
Nickname: Ovettone
Bracelet: ????

Ok so the bracelet is a bit of a mystery to me. The watch belongs to my dad and he's asked me to help him figure out the basic info on this piece. The only thing I've not been able to hammer down (I think) is the bracelet.

Anyone know anything about it? Including and most importantly whether or not it's original to this watch? Any other info is of course appreciated!

Thank you!

Beautiful watch. I suspect the end links and possibly the whole bracelet are not for that case. The end link fitment is very poor and doesn't match up to the curves of the case. Not familiar with these 50's DJ's much so I'm sure someone with more info will come along soon.

Thanks for the input! I've never seen a bracelet like this. The fit around the end links is close but you're right not really tight. However this is an old piece, so it may very well have just loosened over time.

Awesome to hear, thank you!

Do you know what they call this type of bracelet?

I also think its original to the watch. Considering its a 60 yr old watch, the wear on the endlinks is actually not that bad. It's very rare. Wear it in good health. 👍

I blame it on the autoconnect.
