I must say I like looking at the vintage stuff but I don't think I'd ever pull the trigger on one. Everyone says it's safe to find parts but I know for a fact that's not really true. I had experience at the Toronto RSC where a customer brought in a quartz watch that was fried and they basically told him he was out of luck. I know mechanical watches are a little safer bet to find parts but I wouldn't want to take a chance of being the one that gets burnt
