Before & After:GMT 1675 back from ABC Watchwerks

Before & After: GMT 1675 on its way back from ABC Watchwerks...I just talked with Edvi and he's shipping my watch after service and partial restoration to the hands and missing lume plot.

Looks impressive in the photos and I have a great strap waiting on it. Ed

Looks very nice. Did you replace the dial and three hands or have them restored?

I usually don't like messing with the dial and hands, but in this case I think it was a great move. Before restoration that dial and hands would've bugged me every time I looked at the watch. Now it looks fantastic. Congrats.

Out of curiousity, does the 10 o'clock marker glow or did he use something with no magic glow pixie dust?

Looks great. ABC is not cheap but you always get "as good as it gets" service and end result.

Always nice to see a watch come back to life, we lose far to many of em.
I like how they left some dings in the crown guards and that all red hand yearns to have
a blue insert put on!

Very very nice!
I like to ask if you bought the watch the way it looks in the first pic, or did you shock it for the 10 clock marker and hands to chip off?
Just curious on what I should avoid doing :P

Congrats, it is a stunner! ABC never fail to deliver.

When I get it back I'll post more photos. I bought the watch as shown in the first photos. It was purchased about 1971 by an Air Force pilot who wore it until it quit running and the lume fell off.

I have a Combat Straps alligator strap that should look good with it.

I sent it out about 6 weeks ago, the dial was the only hold up and it was a full service with the crystal and some internal parts replaced.

Is the top part of the letter 'E' in Rolex missing or ? It was there in the before photos but theres an imperfection on the 'E' in the after photos. Or is it just the angle?

Either way looks good

Very nice, huge difference & love the all red hand!

I wouldn't have polished though, maybe a very light polish to take out surface scratches but would not have had bevels re-cut.
