Which two of these three would you pick? (Rolex, VC, AP)
So I've decided that I eventually want two of these three; the new Rolex Daytona, the new VC Overseas in blue, or the AP Royal Oak 'Jumbo'. I'd love to have all three but it's not practical IMO (the third watch will most likely be Cartier Drive). I'm mostly rotating b/w my Reverso Duo Blue a Rolex GMT II BLNR at this point.
Daytona Pros: Perfect size, beautiful dial Cons: PCL's & polished case; difficulty to acquire AP Jumbo Pros: beautiful design IMO Cons: haven't been able to try one on (I have tried on a different 39mm AP RO which fir well); blue dial isn't as vibrant as I'd prefer; $$$ VC Overseas Pros: Included extra straps & quick change mechanism; a vibrant blue dial (from pics at least) Cons: not many that I can think of other than a slightly smaller case? Which of these 3 would you go with? (excluding price as a factor as I realize that there is about a ten grand difference in price b/w the AP & Daytona). Please vote in the poll as well! Because threads are always better with pics: |

I would start with the Daytona and then still see if you want to ever wear any other watch

I wouldn't make a decision like this based on a poll in a single manufacture-centric forum because loads of people with Daytonas will very likely vote for their own choice.
Nothing wrong with the Daytona btw, but because I already have an El Primero Zenith chronograph, I would choose AP and VC. Particularly if you are paying! |

Royal Oak and Overseas are similar to the point that you probably want to choose only one of those, which means the Daytona gets chosen by default.
The Royal Oak has history and an iconic design on its side, but don't sleep on the new Overseas. Wait till it's out this summer then go see it in person before deciding. |

Quite interested in the new 2000v. That and the 16520 would be ideal for me.

I love the new overseas but if only two I think the Daytona and jumbo make a great pair. If money's no object though there's the new ultra thin overseas in Wg which is just amazing.

Any combo would be great. I voted Daytona and VC, Daytona gives you sporty, but the AP you selected is also sporty looking. The VC though seems to be more versatile, at least in these pictures, and strikes me as the better dress up watch than the AP. The Daytona and VC covers more bases, stating it simply.

I really like the new Overseas, but wouldn't pick it over the Jumbo or with the Jumbo over the new (all-black) Daytona, so, AP and Daytona it is (but, I would ideally have all 3).

I've been really thinking about the new Overseas lately, I love blue dial watches and the Jumbo, as exquisite as it is has a bluish grey dial in the metal.
Also I like my watches to have at least 100M of water resustance and the Jumbo only tops out at 50 Vs. 150 for the VC. Add in the three included bracelet/straps and it presents a very intriguing package if the dial is as deep and luscious a blue as it appears in pics. |

Daytona and AP Jumbo. Two timeless and complimentary choices.
The VC is in way over his head in this company... In the deep end not knowing how to swim and all his pockets are filled with nickels.
