Fat font insert

Hi I'm looking for a faded fat font insert for my 5513 mf. I have found this one but am unsure if it's original?

For a mf 5513 your going to want a "long 5" insert. This one is not a long 5 but more than that is difficult to comment on as your images are not the best...

The long 5 is definitely preferred if you are in the 2.x million s/n area. Older ones could have easily had a service insert that would've been different.
If you are thinking of selling it, I am not sure it would be particularly worthwhile to pay a ridiculous price for the one you are showing. The misshapened 5 (aside from the lack of a hook) doesn't look like the range of inserts that 5513s might have sported. As David said - with the poor pictures I can't tell why it looks funky.
Just compare it to this better shot from Watchprosite...

I do actually already have a long 5 insert on my 5513 but I also wanted a faded fat font insert to change the look. I should have it in my hands in a few days and if not genuine then I can return it.

My guess is you will know by inspecting it for authenticity and looking at the reverse side of the insert for artificial fading - but as for originality...well that depends on your s/n a little.
And don't know for sure how to tell it wasn't a service insert from NOS to begin with.

It is an authentic late mark 3 FF, but not period correct as mentioned. It's not bad but I would prefer the fade to b more even like these.

I blame it on the autoconnect.
