Icon5 Information Please

I recently received a Rolex Model 6234, Serial #22308 as an inheritance when my aunt died. It is in excellent condition and I am wondering what I have received? Any help would be appreciated.

Dial appears to be redone and hands are not correct for this reference.

Condolences.

Just checking references suggests a Rolex Model 6234, Serial #22308 isn't possible - because 6234's were produced from 1955 to 1961 and the 5-digit serial number you provided is from the 1920's. Even if it was a typo, and the s/n was a 6-digit number, that would be the 1940's.

Not really my cup of tea but the serials were reset in the mid 50's. It is not impossible even if it sounds a bit early for this piece.

I wonder if the dial and hands are both service parts or if the dial is redone? Can't recall seeing replacement dials from Rolex on this reference so no clue. :)

... The OP offers a 5-digit s/n ...
But agree if it is a typo -
The reset in 1950's were only for 6-digit s/n's

And those hands are late 60s, maybe even 70s. It could be that the OP didnt see all of the serial number, sometimes the latter digits are hard to see due to bracelet wear on the case.
Definitely a redial, the markers on the dial should be applied and not printed.
