How many switching from DJII to DJ41?

That's the reason I sold my TT DJII, you just need to look at the subtle but powerful difference it makes. Even more so on the wrist.

Of course, the biggest reason I'm making the switch is...
1. Jubilee
2. Stainless steel

DJ41 on the left. The DJII with rhodium dial with green Romans on the right was mine before I sold it.

More that happy with the combination of the DJII and 16013; absolutely no need to change.

Only way I would consider flipping is if I decide I have to have a jubilee bracelet. As of now anyway, that's not enough.

ok, felt very dishonest voting in this poll as I don't actually own a DJ2 lol. Reason I did however was because I was super close to buying a DJ2 last year, but I knew in my heart of hearts Rolex would make the DJ41 in SS. So i waited. If I did buy the DJ2 within the past year, or anytime for that matter, I would definitely be moving it along for the DJ41.

Yes, the proportions, width and size are more pleasing to me. As well as the scaled down size of the baton markers. But the movement is also a nice improvement and of course the jubilee option.

I tried on both Saturday and the DJ 41 felt much better on the wrist , both were SS/YG. The only thing I thought was off was how small the crown looked , just looked way to small on the watch. Just my 2 cents worth .

I really like the look of the DJ41 but am not willing to take a scrubbing bath on DJII Blue Stick Dial smooth bezel. It's my first and Rolex.

It may be overkill but I wouldn't mind getting a DJ41 with different dial color and braclet confg.

I think the DJ41 is a total home run, IMO.

I don't think, however, I would trade a DJ2 toward it (if I had one). There wouldn't be enough bang for the buck.

My decision will be to trade a TT DJ41 for one of the new steel models just unveiled, or just cut the DJ from the collection, as I'm supposed to be downsizing this year.

I sold my DD2 partly because of the DD40 so I would for the DJ41 esp for the choco dial, which I still half-miss.

New movement, slimmer case, thinner bezel, refined baton / stick markers, jubilee bracelet and SS are now available.

Just looks more proportionate than the DJII in my eyes, it's a huge difference. 80% of the reason I buy watches is the fact that they sing to me even if I know that 90% of people would not even tell the difference. But SS and Jubilee / flute combo is killer!

DJ SS with WG bezel and diamond instead of numbers is growing into me.

If I get a DJII instead of DJ41 with WG Bezel and diamond, what exactly am I missing?

I have a smaller wrist and the size of my Sub ND is great size. These that mean a 36mm DJ is too small for me or go with 41mm? Trying to save some money.

thx

Yep, this is the comparison pic posted above, and to me, it looks like the watch on the right should be replacing the one on the left.

I'm in the same boat, have come close to buying a blue or white DJII a couple of times as well. I'll be buying at least one, probably both!

My personal opinion is if you want a DJ, it has to be a fluted bezel and jubilee is the only bracelet to go with fluted... if you like the smooth bezel (under the radar) then an oyster is fine, but a fluted bezel with oyster or smooth bezel with jubilee is a no go for me personally.

The only probable switching I'd do is my blue DJ2 and the SS SkyD blue. Blue for blue. DJ 41's incentives are nice but not strong enough for me to depart from my current beloved.

So in answering the OP, no, I defo won't be flipping my DJ2 for a DJ41 anytime soon, because I see it as just a larger version of grandads watch, which the DJ2 isn't.
Nicely put

OK the DJII is history; I found a reason to change. It was undersized.
