I totally get that. For instance, if I were to fall for the dive watch, SubC-hype even though I don't dive and realized later how boringly cliche' it was, how it's over-large lugs are (to a certain extent) silly, and it's functional forte' useless to me, I'd probably remind myself of my mistake later on by replacing the Oyster/Glidelock with a nice, gold President bracelet and wear it only occasionally.

Thankfully, however, I tend not to make purchases based on hype or dump thousands of $$$ on something based on pictures.

This thread is really just a confession zone for those who do, and my heart goes out to anyone with those weaknesses. I sincerely hope you, the OP, and all others making the same mistake can, through considered thought and a little will power, overcome them when the next super-popular, awesome choice comes around. There will always be another "BLNR" whether it be a watch, a car, a boat, a way to construct a hamburger, but it may not be for you because nothing is universally, unanimously popular.

The OP should be thanked for creating such a thread. It serves as free therapy, a forum version of a laxative where those like himself needing a cathartic release for backed-up buyer's remorse can just let everything trapped in their guts become keyboard effluence. Doing so is a first, healthy step on the path to making better choices for themselves in the future.
Dude chill, it's just watches, interesting, gadgets, fashion accessories whatever you name it.

Haha geez that's a lot of serious comments right there lol!!!

Hello to my fellow kiwi country man!!! Yea the AD here pretty much says it's a long as waiting list. Listed price has gone up a bit since I got it in 2015.

Seems like it's as popular as ever .... contrary to this thread lol

I'd give the title to the Sky Dweller, frankly.

When I bought my 116610lv I almost walked out a BLNR. I had been looking at the green and was really digging it but I also liked the BLNR a lot. The only thing that put me off was the polished center links on the bracelet. Seemed to dressy for me. But otherwise it is a beautiful watch

Tried on the BLNR and sub today for my final down selection for my upcoming purchase. I think my conclusion for me at least is the BLNR looks better in pictures than it does on my wrist. The sub was the opposite. I'm not a BLNR hater, but I'm going with the SUB.

I really find the GMT Master II to be a fine watch, however the BLNR would not be my choice. While I realize the extremely high popularity of blue on watch dials and bezels, it is just not my color. It has actually become quite tiresome to me, as though blue is almost becoming the new black somehow.

However, I do "get" the Pepsi dial, in spite of the blue on the bezel, as it was the original color combination for the GMT back in the 50s. But it would still put me off getting that watch.

The good old black dial/black bezel is still the nicest looking GMT model IMO.
