Sunburst dial

I keep hearing and reading about Sunburst dials on Rolex , Coukd anyone please explain what it means ?
How is it different to a normal Rolex coloured dial ?

It is more like a shiny dial that reflects the light, unlike a matte finish... search for sunburst here in this section to see some examples of it.

It's difficult to convey in photos, but in certain lights a sunburst dial 'really pops'.
It will catch the light and give off s certain sheen that is described as the sunburst effect.
The best example of this is the TT & YG Submariner with the blue dial.
The WG Sub has a 'flat' blue dial which although attractive in its own right first shine in sunlight like the YG version.

I can't help, I don't have a flat Rolex dial for comparison, only sunburst ones.

means when light hits it dial color changes dramatically.

I only have a flat black face on my Rolex DJ, but on my Grand Seiko, I have a sunburst face and as said, depending on the angle you look at it, the color changes. Sometimes the color is vivid, sometimes subtle and sometimes it looks almost like black. It is a real joy to look at.
