16523 Bracelet question

Did any of these come with steel clasps or would a proper original bracelet also be two toned like the rest of the bracelet?

I know on GMT/Subs, Rolex went to "gold through clasp" around 1999/2000. Think the Daytona was same/approximately the same.

Thanks guys. I knew I had seen earlier Sub models with the stainless clasp before the "gold through" but hadn't paid as much attention to Daytona bracelets. But a 2 tone example is really catching my eye lately.....

I have a U-series 16523 from 1997 - gold all the way.

All of the TT bracelets had SS clasps for their first 30 years or so. The weld-on gold plates are strictly a 21st century thing, give or take a couple years..
