What color??

I'm going to place a leather strap on my Rolex Submariner 116610. What do you think is the color that will suit you best? Dark brown, medium, calf, Black ... Thank you friends.

Black. Anything else would seem uncoordinated.

Black but I don't like leather on Divers, how about rubber or stingray even?

Either black or a rich brown. But if it’s your only one then I’d say rubber or nato all day.

Black for a leather strap, but on a diver I'd say Nato or Rubber.

I got a medium/light brown .. not sure how i feel about it or any leather on the SubC. Like it better on rubber or nylon (gasgasbones).

Black to be on the safe side. I feel like the other options would be a hit or miss

I've spent too much on leather straps trying to get my 16610 to look good on it, none worked for me.
To be honest, I think they look even worse on ceramic models.
Somehow they work on the vintage subs, but not the modern ones IMO.

Good luck

Tan in cold months and rubber in the summer! Not a Sub, but similar.

if the watch is just the black dial, black bezel, stainless version you can absolutely put any color you want on it. At that point it is a question of:

A) What color are your belt and shoes?
B) Does it not seem odd to put a leather strap on a dive watch?

I wouldn't do leather on a diver but maybe sailcloth, carbon fiber or Kevlar.

Black sailcloth

Something like the BP Fifty fathoms OEM strap

For me if you have to, it's gotta be black.

I agree.. leather just doesn’t work well on the 6 digits. Probably because the lugs are just too chunky / thick. Go rubber and save the leather for the 5 and 4 digit models

I never liked leather myself and color a personal choice.I'd go rubber, blacks always safe, I looked at the everest for my sub and the green looked cool to me although I'm still rocking the bracelet.

In this day and age, you ALWAYS have to use rubbers.
