Aqua Terra..should I buy it?
Hi all...I was recently at a watch store and they had an older Blue Faced Aqua Terra 150M Master Co-Axial, with the date at the 3pm position. I always liked this watch with the date being at the 3pm position. Does anyone out there have this watch, I am thinking of picking this watch up. I tried on the watch but the bracelet seems a bit of work to get it on. When I tried it on it took me forever to get that strap to close using one hand. I appreciate everyone's thoughts and advice!

You sure the dates not at the 3am position?
I like the Aqua Terra line. Had the black dial with green accents for a while. Great watch and I though the bracelet was very easy to use and get the right size. If you like it, go for it |

It must be the Canadian model. I say go for it. My next watch purchase is going to be a Aqua Terra 41mm with a blue dial. Even my wife approves of it. |

Love mine, and wear it all of the time. You'll get used to closing the clasp on the bracelet, but I know what you mean about it being a little clumsy at first.
I find the Aqua Terra to be remarkably versatile, and the Caliber 8900 movement used in it is world-class. |

It's not the only watch in the world with a butterfly clasp....in fact the Nautilus bracelet is quite similar. Just have to get used to it. It is a beautiful watch though, I from time to time enjoy mine @ 38.5mm with the date window.

I just bought one yesterday and yes the bracelet takes a bit to get onto. I felt foolish at the store like I could not put on a watch by myself.

Thinking about this as well.
I like it more than the current one with date at 6pm window. Or 6am. Not sure. |

Was considering the AT, went with a speedmaster racing 40mm panda dial.
Wanted something more sporty, the AT is less sporty more dressy |

I have an Omega AT with the date at 3 o’clock position, 41.5mm and love it. This is a blue “wave” dial with yellow gold accented hour markers and hands. It is my only Omega (for now) and it is exceptionally versatile. It dresses up or down...perfect for daily wear. I also really like that I can adjust the hour when crossing time zones, so it is a good travel watch. I also really like the AT’s with blue dials and no gold accents. The bracelet was no problem to get used to, and I rotate this with a Rolex SubC No Date.

I’ve got a lot of time for the AT. It looks great, has a co-axial movement which (looks amazing on the display back) apparently has less maintenance issues and heard good accounts of its accuracy. The model you refer to has now been updated with the date at 6 o’clock. What threw me of purchasing the very same model was the fact Omega seems to have seemingly endless variations of the AT and I couldn’t decide which was best. The one I saw and tried on endless times had a leather strap so I didn’t have your problem. I would look at another version of it unless you are 100% certain you want the blue. I’m not ruling out buying one in the future

In your case I think you should maybe hold off until you try some other watches as well.
Have you considered a ROLEX? You will take a bath on the AT at resale time while ROLEX will pay you to wear their watches. Consider a Rolex Submariner . If it was good enough for the real James Bond(Sean Connery) then it’s good enough for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
