Going crazy...I miss wearing my Panerai
This watch passion is driving me a bit nuts. I yearned and sought after the SD43 and have it and love it. But now I miss the Panerai. Something about the simplicity and ease of reading the time on my Pam 005. Also the comfort of the RubberB is really great. I refuse to put a RubberB on the SD43...just doesn't look right to me.

Panerais are a love/ hate relationship. I love the manual wind PAMs and hate the autos because the cases were too thick. The 005 is a great piece. I’m considering picking a a 562.

Maybe revisit the autos? Felt the same with the thickness of the automatic movement until Panerai started making them thinner such as how the thinner 1312 replaced the 312.

Buy another PAM then. They're as cheap as chips.

[QUOTE=marc2828;8998751 Was just looking at Ceramic and Carbontech models[/QUOTE]
I like all of those models too. If I could steal one (as in, get a SCREAMING DEAL) on one, I might pull the trigger. Generally, I’m more practical than that though. |

Just like your beloved Omega...also, didn't Rolex put Valjoux, and then Zenith, movements in their Daytonas for like 40 years?

Improviz, I think your "triggered" sensor might be set to "11". I took it as WJGESQ asking for clarification on which ones were cheap now a days...ETA vs. the in-house ones...I don't think it was a criticism of Panerai using ETA movements. That's what it sounded like to me anyways...but what do I know? I couldn't afford Holiday Inn so i stayed at a Motel 6 last night..I hope this rash goes away....

That blue dialed watch gets me every time. It’s far and away the nicest Panerai I’ve ever seen!

Carbotech is a nice for sure. I looked at one a few months back. Wife liked it as well, but alas would take away from Rolex funds. I may eventually get one.

I've had several Panerai watches over the years. Cool watches with neat character. Another nice thing about them is you can buy them pre-owned and save a bundle. If you really miss it, look out for a used watch for a steal to satisfy your itch.
