Geneva trip
My wife and I are going to Geneva next month. Other than visits to the Patek Salon and Museum, any other watch oriented recommendations?

Take a walk down Rue du Rhone. Lots of watch boutiques of every major Swiss brand there.
Or if you have good relationship with a certain brand, ask them to arrange a private factory tour for you. Usually around 1.5 to 2 hours drive from Geneva, like Vallée de Joux. I have visited both AP and JLC and they are an eye-opening experience.

I contacted the Museum and purchased a private tour of Museum for this Tuesday. Will check out the Salon the next day.

Go and visit the mbf mad gallery, visit the davidoff brothers for a great vintage speedmaster selection, check out Montres Prestige in the Kempinski for RM AP and bunch of other brands, go see the De Bethune selection at their head office, visit the VC boutique and be introduced to their top products, stop by Bulgari to see the Octo Finissimo line, check out FPJ and Roger Dubois Boutiques, visit Les Ambassadeurs for brands like Uhrwerk HYT Lange Hautlence. Be amazed and use your time wisely. The RM boutique it self didnt have much to show and not all staff seem to know what they are talking about.
Good luck and have fun! PM me if you want recommendations who to reach out there D |
