DAY DATE 118238 Experts/Owners..
Looking to upgrade my DD to a 118238. I have some questions and have not been able to find the answers hopefully you folks can help.
The 118238 which was introduced in 2000 (I think) some of the updates were *polished lugs *polished bracelet links on the sides *heavy solid bracelet I am sure there were others...If so what were they? Later in production the clasp was upgraded. I am trying to find out all upgrades in 2000 and then what changes were made later but still under the same reference 118238. In other words at some point the clasp was changes were there any other changes? I know some or all 118238s have domed crystals, is this only on some or for the entire run of 118238s? Thanks in advance |

Not sure but those are some heavy hitters you've got on your avatar.

Wayne, Sinatra, Martin, Hope, and Reagan, what a quintet.
Regarding the 118238, I'm pretty happy with the 18238; I can't see a reason to upgrade. |

I read somewhere that around 2000 P series is when it went from 18238 to 118238 heavier solid links. Maybe a year or two later the buckle was updated. Not much change after that except the engraved rehaut maybe around F serial or later? |

The 18038 and 18238 are just as good or better. A bit more gold in the middle links btw they are not solid they still have two holes drilled into them. The bigger and then even the fatter buckle just was not needed they just add weight and get in the way for comfort.

If you own a 18038 and then wear the 118238 It certainly feels like a big upgrade the weight is a good feeling. Ive owned both and love them both. While certainly the 118238 cost almost double I can see why some opt for the older series.

I have a 118238 with the upgraded bracelet and clasp but my Rehaut is not engraved. It’s a 2004 I believe but can check when I get home.
