I like the new AK, but I must be the only one lol

I might buy one still undecided due to the loss on investment

I still really like the new Air King a lot. I'll definitely keep it in my short list.

I like the AK. I do think fixing the 1 o’clock marker to 05 as opposed to just 5 would have made the dial look better. Also maybe it would have benefitted from having a bi directional bezel of some kind.
Unfortunately, I don’t have room for the AK as I plan for a limited collection. The AK would be a very solid addition to anyone’s collection though.

What do you mean "loss on investment"?

Yeah sorry not clear.

Investment is cost of buying a product.
Loss is the deprecation of the purchase price.

Pretty much everything I buy I expect deprecation, including Rolex, though with some models if it goes up in value great, perhaps after paying insurance and servicing I may break even or make some $

The AK loses money every year so far, but we only have 2016 to compare, so perhaps this model loses more than some other 'loss' models, I dont know?

Does it matter? YMWV

Was my daily during the recent 3-week trip to the Arctic Circle. What’s not to like.
The 3131 is the best timekeeper that I have, gained 5 secs withn those 21 days.

The I word is a trigger word on the forums these days and I don’t fault people for it either way. Watches in general are liabilities when you factor in maintenance costs, insurance, storage, etc as you say. Glad you’re more concerned about enjoying the watch I like it but since I plan on getting some type of pilot watch it may be redundant in my collection as I already have the Milgauss.

My first Rolex. Like the colors on the dial. Much more different from the others. The green and yellow are Rolex official colors and the first time ever to use those colors on a dial. ;)

I know you are excited about your new watch, but no need to post the same thread in multiple forums.

I'm a fan, I wore mine daily for a year then traded it for a new Expll. As one OP said above, I agree, always thought the 5 marker should say 05.

I really like mine, gets a lot of wrist time. Just got back from a holiday in Portugal, and this is the watch I took to accompany me.

I'm on vacation here in europe and got so down just seeing only gold datejusts in the stores... So last night at Harrods, the cases only had gold datejusts. The SA asked what I was looking for, and I asked if they had any steel professional models. She said 'which one?' I said Air King and she said they just got a shipment that day! Theres a milgauss and yachtmaster left if anyone wants those. So happy I finally found something!

I had thought about selling my AK... to get something else, but I just can't do it. I love this watch... I love the weight, I love the comfort on wrist and I love the Milgauss caliber.

Well, here’s one - no watch content - this was taken at 3 p.m.
In the summer, this place is a popular beach
The light is already very low and the weather was unseasonably cold.
Next time I’ll go there in Feb and it will be really, really cold.

The reply wasn’t towards you, it was towards the OP who posted the same headline in multiple sections.
