Has Anyone Put A PM Bracelet With Their Ceramic-bezeled Daytona Case
Has anyone put a PM bracelet with their ceramic-bezel PM Daytona case since Rolex only puts ceramic-bezel PM Daytona cases with oysterflex? (What about putting on a dial that doesn't come with that case, too?)
The other thread on fave rose gold pieces got me thinking about this. Here is the mock-up I posted there. |

I think the problem with that is that the end link are built into the case for the ones with oyster flex therefore you can’t just add Rolex bracelet or even a third party leather strap

I think it’s easier to add a ceramic bezel on the full gold version

I believe you can't add a different bracelet (unless you take off the bezel and remove the end links, but then the case is going to have noticeable grooves on it) but AFAIK adding a different strap isn't an issue. I have seen plenty of pictures of OF Daytonas on different straps and RubberB even sells their own Swimskin straps for OF Daytonas.

The end links are removable, but that requires the bezel to be removed first and the lug hole positioning is different too I believe

We'd all love to have done this, but it's not really possible. Best way to get this effect is with a PM dial in a SS CE Daytona.

It is easier to add a Ceramic bezel to a PM case. I have seen it done before on a RG case and the ceramic bezel is a perfect fit.

Hate the ceramic bezel on a daytona. Gold is far supérieur to ceramics. Dont want scratches on your bezel? Get a g-shock.

Thanks for the comment. It's definitely fallen in desirability I believe as a direct result of the introduction of ceramic bezeled stainless models. I love the watch but there are quite a few on this forum so it's not a unique piece by any means. On the other hand it is the full package.

I'm sorry; I should learn restraint... FWIW, I agree that adding a ceramic bezel is likely the most cost effective way to go as the charge for the watches with the rubber strap is high already and to add a PM bracelet doesn't seem like a bargain. Either way we're talking franken here. |
