Option are a great way to leverage. I ended up exercising my calls on CGC and CRON (42.50 and 10 strikes) because I plan to hold for a longer term. I could have rolled them into the next contract, but I think it's still going to be a rollercoaster and wanted the long term security. And no current income tax event. Another factor was a transfer to another brokerage and I have not applied for options yet.

I don’t think the train has quite left the station, if you will.
Of course, do your DD, but IAN/MPX’s footprint will be MASSIVE.
Only thing that concerns me after this jump is lack of support on the way down, should there be the need for one - but unless IAN takes a dive, MPX is OK.

I bought some MPX a while back with the remnants of what I had left after absolutely getting my ass kicked on one small company. I took a chance. My bad, I did not do my own due diligence so I can't blame anyone but me. Took about a used Explorer II 3185 black dial Z serial mint condition hit on it.

It is all good I bought MPX and it lagged but I held.

Aphria and Aurora listing in NY and and Bruce the CEO of Canopy referencing an eventual split on CGC. I'm long.

Needed to get back in the mix, picked up a little CWBHF today.

Drooling over getting back into HYYDF & CGC but I am not sure they are done.
Anyone buying today?

12-18% losses today in my holdings on top of the pull backs last week, so it could be time.

With cash available I'm able go on a shopping spree with today's double digit pull backs!!

I am taking a hit on a few holdings as well but hopefully the purchases I'm making today will pay off with nice gains in the near future.

Thank you!!

One needs a thick skin investing in this sector and really needs to anticipate days like this thus why I had cash waiting

It's not easy seeing my double digit losses but hopefully I'll be doing a happy, happy dance one day with my " buys " from this morning?!

Had been anticipating this type of response to the way over-extended rally heading into Oct 17th, limited initial product availability, bungled physical retail store launch, rolling postal strikes, and now what is almost certain to be a death valley of new market moving catalysts for the foreseeable future...aside from a slew of some none too helpful still pre-launch earnings being announced over the next month or so. Lots of fodder for the FUD crowd to hang a hat on, so don't let your emotions get the best of you if things continue fading lower.

Started picking up some Aphria again @ $11.69 today...but only 20% of my prior full position level. Suspect we may see many more lower intraday lows & closing highs before this downtrend ultimately reverses itself, but it may be time to start nibbling, albeit very slowly in reasonable increments with any remaining available cash...but just don't jump all-in way too quickly. Best to avoid trying to catch a falling knife. Wait until you're feeling some serious pain yourself on any existing longs, don't want to put another single dollar in the sector out of sheer paralysis...THEN...do it against your better judgment. Remember, adversity creates opportunity, but only for the true bravehearts.

Also, as I've stated on another forum, an ACB and APH NYSE uplisting is not a 100% guarantee of a renewed, sustainable rally...so don't fall for that trap either. However, ultimately, it will provide much better liquidity for U.S. investors, and eventually bring the introduction of Equity Options, which is where some real money can be made, by writing income-generating calls against any existing ACB and APH long positions while you wait out the introduction of additional retail locations to open between Jan '19 - Apr '19, and the Summer 2019 launch of edibles. If you're not approved for buying and selling options, you're really missing out on what could be some pretty helpful strategies to generate incremental income to lower your average cost on existing holdings or utilize leverage to increase your potential gains while also limiting your potential losses. Study up on them if you are not familiar.

Good luck, All!

Yep, rebounding now, but I expect it will be cyclical for a while.

I'd be careful of buying these p/s sales is out of control.

You need a few qtrs to determine demand vs supply. I suspect a lot has been priced in and these are due for a nasty 1-2 year correction

GL!

I pulled out my initial investment a month ago after gaining nearly 200%, and now am just letting the profits ride. Kind of wish I'd just sold out completely, as even watching the profits dwindle is brutal.

thats how it should be done. Now you can sit back and relax. high growth sectors can super boom, but their come downs suck.

Look at crypto they will move again to the upside but a brutal down year.

Those falling knives I mentioned are coming to fruition today. Started picking up a decent amount of Aphria into the weakness as FUD is nearing a near term peak. This is when you want to consider buying more on sale, but be very careful out there, Folks.

Publicly-traded Cannabis Industry Companies

Used my dry powder reserved for some more Aphria and Canopy yesterday and today. May still slide some but I like the price points to enter again. Long term horizon guy here.

Atta boy, Chaz. Good timing. I also picked up a lot of Aphria two days ago, but did sell about 30% of it today for a quick $1.05 gain. Wanted to right size a bit in the event that we sell down some tomorrow, although I feel as if the worst is over, but never say never.

CVSI was up close to 14% yesterday.

They have their Q3 earnings announcement midnext week.

The stock skyrocketed when they made their Q2 announcement a few months ago.

Might wanna go shopping today or early next week prior to their Q3 announcement??

No politics about this post.

But Sessions no longer has a job. Considering he was very anti cannabis, this might create a big push. This could be a super thing......
