the 991s have yet to grow on me and the 992s don't look any better. I'll probably keep my 997 turbo s for a few more years at least.

No matter which one you choose, you cannot make a bad decision. I test drove several 911's, but I went with a Cayman.

Whisper it: the Cayman is a better sports car than the 911.

Mine next to my buddy's '68 soft Targa (the 6263 of 911s...) for further enabling:

I had a 911 for a couple of years but always LOVED the look and drive of the Boxster. Something about the two seater mid engine makes feel like a kid in a really quick go cart. I purposely avoid the Porsche forums bc it gets me thinking about the newer 911s....

I love my Cayman. It handles a turn better than any 911 I have ever driven. I live in the mountains, so it makes sense. I believe the spec sheet says my 718 Cayman makes more power, more torque, and has faster acceleration than a base 911. It is a heck of a car to drive,

Then, I go to the dealership for a service and start looking at the 911 and I just want one.....

Love the Cayman styling! But I grew up loving and admiring the 911, and it was my first sports car I ever bought. So kind of loyal to the model

My first was an '88 Turbo Cab in Gran Prix White. White is nice, but it isn't easy being green. Great cars, all.

There is truly no substitute. Drove a 2015 911 Turbo in May and 5 days later purchased a 2018 911 Turbo S. I had always admired the 911 from afar but after driving it everything clicked. An experience like no other!

Hey Rich, You my friend are in a fun and exciting moment right now!

I would test drive the R8, why...? Why not... even if you don’t buy at least you were serious about dropping 150k and should be allowed a test drive

Also, Don’t forget the GTS. Lots of fun speed buttons to play with and stealth styling...

However from the pics, you might be looking for something more appropriately befitting a man of your station

I mean the option combinations are endless if you order. R u going to order?
Sometimes it’s the only way to make you/us Happy...lol

Coupe or Cab or Targa?

LEDs or classic look?

14 way or 18 way seats?

Base/S/4S/Turbo/GTS?

I bought used 2 yrs old and saved $40k
And the only reason I did was because it was spec’d exactly the way I would order it

I’ll tell you some things after you tell me which drive/ride/feel you liked. Not the exterior but how the best feeling 911 drove...

You see, I feel that the 911, or in this case the 991.2 picks you. You don’t pick it

Like the R8...Love Porsche 911, grew up with them. The red, your car ....gorgeous!
If I was buying an Fcar(I just passed on several) I’d have red, no question.
My first 911 I bought was red...but I was 22 yrs old. I think at this stage (50 next month)....Blue is the choice

There’s nothing quite like a Porker and both of my 911’s have been the best cars I’ve ever owned. Having previously owned a GTI, C63 AMG, and now a 2018 BMW M5, I can say without hesitation that my previous 991 Carrera S and my current 991 GT3 are the best cars I have ever owned. They do everything spectacularly and I never got tired of driving them. They are fun, exciting, comfortable (not so much the GT3) and reliable especially considering the performance. You can’t go wrong.
