Hello from DFW Texas
Hi. My name is David. I am a complete novice in the watch world and am simply looking to gain knowledge about vintage watches.
I hope to purchase a fine timepiece in the near future but thought I better bone up on the research so I don't walk blindly into a bad deal. Wish me luck :) |

Just to give an idea on what type of piece I am interested in, here is a pic I lifted off my local Craigslist. I have no idea what I am "really" looking at but I know this is the style I want.
It is listed as a fine example of a restored circa 1948 Rolex Oyster,
