I loves my Connies.
And they seem to keep coming my way. Here are my latest two. I think that makes 5 in a row, in picking up watches, for the Constellation. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk |

Not sure if this counts as vintage - 1988 3810.20 relatively-rare white dialed speedy reduced:

The first Seamaster 1948-9 Caliber 351 Bumper. In 1989 this was handed to me in pieces, missing parts, second hand and the case covered in tar. I took it home, wound it up and left it overnight. It was running the next morning, so I set about cleaning the outer case, then took it to the local jeweler for assessment. He was able to find missing parts, crown (unsigned) a second hand (bit short) and new crystal. In the end it became a very wearable watch. To this day, it keeps time +-5sec/day. |

Dad's gold safe queen. Probably wore it only a few times. Right now I have it in for service; replacing the crystal and cleaning it up. The bracelet is gold too but not original Omega. It appears most people added these bracelets in those days. Probably get a nice leather strap with omega deployment. Ref 162.037

Picked up two vintage Seamasters this weekend.
Second one is an unusual rose gold cap version. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk |

I'd post some Speedmaster photos, but I'm finding every photo I have is too large to upload on this forum. The process to shrink them is just too much, especially since I use my phone to upload.

I've decided
to put a "NASA" style band on all of my pre 1970 Speedmasters. Here's a start, and I think there are a few others already sporting the mesh band at the bank, but I still need many more bands. I'm resisting using the 4 or 5 Champion bands still in original packaging, though.
