Lost my warranty booklet

As the title says, i just realised that i cant find my warranty booklet for my Navy ap roo.

Two questions for anyone who may have gone through this:

1. I know ap can send a certificate of authenticity as a replacement if I send my watch in. Question is how long does this process take, and what does this certificate look like?

2. If I should want to sell the watch in the future, does having a certificate of authenticity over the original booklet affect the value adversely? I still have the original watchbox.

Thanks in advance

I suspect it would affect value by up to £2.5K. A quick look on watchfinder suggests that a 4-5 year old SS 42mm Offshore is worth £1500 less without papers. However I think a 44 model or a pm model would be significantly worse.

Thanks for this - would having the ‘certificate of authenticity’ that is re issued by AP count as ‘no papers’ since it’s not the original warranty book?

I’ve honestly got no idea but you could find out by going through the motions of selling your watch and see what they offer. Watchfinder do this over the internet / email so it’s easy.

Missing the original warranty booklet will defitnely not only lower the price you will get if you sell but also substantially shrink the pool of buyers as many including myself would not ever consider an AP without one.

Unfortunately it will cost you far more than it should. Probably 2-3k pounds even with an AP replacement warranty. Many buyers want a complete set as it is much easier to move down the road.

Agreed. For some reason any "replacement" papers don't do much for me.
