Incoming!

The wait has finally ended! After 1.5 years, I received a call from the AP boutique saying that they had my 15500 black/grey ready for me to choose

Super duper excited! You would be wondering how could I have possibly waited this long for an SIHH 2019 model. Well I started lining up in March 2018 for the 15400. As it has been discontinued, they automatically put me down for the new one.

I’m glad I was able to get my hands on the 500 as I really love this one much more than the 400. Excited to share with fellow members how great this piece is. I’d like to say getting hot pieces in 2019 is really possible so we should all keep our hopes up.

Great piece no matter which dial you chose in the end. Look forward to your color revelation.

Beautiful watch, but I can’t help but feel the indices are too short.

Now you say that I can't unsee it. I'm still not sure which I prefer between the 400 and 500. At least the date is in the right place on the 500.

Congrats OP

I have the grey 15500. I can tell you that the indices are not too short.

Yes, when you compare the 15400 and 15500 side by side, the indices are shorter and thicker on the new one, and some people may have a preference for one over the other.

But I find that the dial on the 15500 looks perfect the way it is.

WWC, congrats on the new watch!

I agree entirely with this, the 15500 dial is amazing when to get to see it in person rather than a photo.

Yes, the blue chrono was also available. However, my friend was only able to offer either model to one customer only. He wasn’t able to sell both of them to me so I had to pick. He suggested I take the 500 first as it’s a hot model and recently released. He knows I also want the blue chrono and he’ll get that to me after a short cool down period.

I should have been more specific. I understand he chose a 15500 but not sure which dial.
