Met my Grail...

...and my next purchase (hopefully) and potentially a sporty number!

These are so much better in the flesh.

Wow - nice selection?

That the stock strap on the 5524? Looks nicer then norm

What size is your wrist? I love the 5207 but always thought it would be too big on my 6.5” wrist.

6.5” and it wore fine. Picture actually makes it look bigger on my wrist than it was. Perfect size.

5524 is likely to be next. Need to do a lot of saving for the 5270! But...5968 could be a curveball option.

Yep, stock strap. Really nice, although could do with being just a touch thicker.

Yeah, in truth, whilst the 5524 is a bad value proposition (whereas the 5968 is an awesome value proposition), I’m not in it for that, and the 5524 fits much better in the collection. The 5968 clashes a little with my 5990 and arguably the AP Diver. Also have other sports watches such as a Daytona on Oysterflex and Royal Oak, but don’t have anything like the 5524.

And who knows, the 5524 is not that popular so may not hang around too long, so could be like the Rolex 116600 which appeared a bad value prop when I bought it, but suddenly came good!

What appeals about both is that they are Pateks that are so un-Patek-like!

true on the 5524

5968 is patek alike when you look at the 5980s etc,

enjoy your decision

You can't go wrong with any of those choices. Nice to have options and good luck!

Were these all for sale? If so I would have drooled like a happy dog seeing the 5968 and 5712...One of each please! Swipe till my card melts.

Nope!! Its a stunning watch but it’s just not me. I chose the 5990 over it last time and once again I couldn’t pull the trigger. I’m not worthy!!

At current valuations, the 5524 is calling to me! I wonder if I can pick one up around $30k :)

I know where you are coming from - its not happened to me yet, but I think if put on the AD table in front of me I would ultimately pass too (sure, I could flip it but I wouldn't get it just to do that and think its asymmetry just isn't for me)...

not having a 5711, though, it would probably be pretty damn tempting

30 is a little low but not that far. I had the opportunity to buy one for 34k and passed. But kinda wish I hadn’t. I did try on a 5524r the other day and surprisingly I really liked it. But it was new and quite a bit more.
